Thanks for everything Duff
I would like to start off by thanking Duff for the effort he put in on starting the vets team up. For all the time he put in and the organising it takes to run a senior team while also running a junior team as well, so thank you from us all. Secondly I would like to thank the players for your continued effort for the season just passed.
The season we would like to forget
I didn’t have much playing time at the start of the season due to an injury picked up in a pre season friendly. I know Duff struggled to get enough players out every week which is difficult, so the start of the season was not good, winning only 1 match prior to myself and Kevin Webb taking control from Christmas. In this time, like in Duff’s reign as manager, we struggled every week to get enough players out. In our first game in management we were playing a team from the bottom of the league. I cannot recall their name, but I know we won the game due to a great strike from Joel Bowden. What didn’t help matters much was that we could not get a regular goalkeeper, so I would like to thank Paul Dorney for stepping in when the team needed him to.
Unfortunately this season has not been a good one looking like we might get relegated. Either way, the vets will still turn out in the tangerine & black and represent this great club every week and hopefully have a better season next year.
Thanks to all
I would like to thank Webby (Kev Webb) for his assistance this year, and hope we can continue together in the new season. I would like to thank all players for their efforts this year, you truly are a great bunch of lads win loose or draw, we always have a beer and I cannot thank you enough for the effort you all put in for me and Webby.
Thanks again and stay safe
